We do not allow food or drink to be brought onsite, however we have a catering van which sells everything from fresh baguettes, hot dogs and jacket potatoes to fruit and chocolate. If you are coming to Shepperton Splash for a party, you are welcome to bring a cake – it’s not a party without one!
We advise guests to arrive around 60 minutes before your first activity. For example, if your session was at 14:00, we advise you to arrive by 13:00. This gives you time to check in, get changed (if required), and attend your safety briefing. Our safety briefings take place 15 minutes before each session.
Yes, all participants must be able to swim 50m unaided confidently and competently in deep open water. It is very likely that you will fall in during your session and, as it is a lake rather than a swimming pool, it is quite dark under the water. Our site was a quarry in its previous life so there are points across the lake where it is very deep and, on average, it is around 5m deep across the Aqua Park. If you find yourself or a member of your group in distress, please notify a lifeguard immediately. We reserve the right to refuse access to, or take guests off, any activity if a member of staff deems them to be unsafe in the water.
We do not allow shoes to be worn on any of our activities, however we do have Grip Socks available to purchase. We also allow generic grip socks to be worn, such as trampolining socks, however this is at the discretion of our lifeguarding and management team.
All guests must wear a buoyancy aid on the activities, and guests aged 16 and under are required to wear a soft hat. If any guests are over the age of 16 and would like to wear a soft hat, please just ask your lifeguard!
Wetsuits are not compulsory, although they are highly recommended on those cooler days to keep you warm. Wetsuits are also a good idea in summer as they can help to avoid getting sunburnt! You are welcome to wear your own wetsuit, or you can hire one from us. Prices start from £5 per person online, or you can hire them for £7.50 per person on the day of your booking. If you are unsure, we take a temperature reading of the water each day so please ask our check-in staff to help you make up your mind. Please note, we do not offer refunds for any unused or unwanted wetsuits so please make sure you are certain you and your group will use them when prebooking.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow those who are pregnant to participate for the safety of yourself and your baby, however you are welcome to spectate from the bankside and take photos!
All jewellery must be removed before you start your activity. We have a limited space in our Check-In Kiosk to look after valuable items of jewellery, but these are left at your own risk. We recommend leaving anything valuable at home as there is a high risk of damaging or losing it during your time on the water. If you have recently had any piercings we can provide tape to cover them, and recommend you follow your piercer’s aftercare advice for after swimming.
Of course you can! However, they must be secured by a chest harness and wearing a camera is entirely at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged devices. We do not have the facility to retrieve any lost belongings from the bottom of the lake so please make sure they are secure before starting your activity.
It is strongly advised not to wear any glasses or sunglasses on any of our activities, and prescription goggles are a good alternative. If you decide to wear them, this is done so entirely at your own risk, as there is a high chance of losing or damaging them. There is also the risk of injury if your glasses or sunglasses break while you are wearing them. We do not have the facility to retrieve any lost belongings from the bottom of the lake so please make sure they are secure before starting your activity.
We ask that all our guests are reasonably fit enough to take part in the activities at Shepperton Splash. This includes, but is not limited to, being able to swim 50 meters unaided and confidently in deep open water . A full list of health limitations can be found in our waiver here. Please bear in mind some of the obstacles can be quite physically demanding and require a certain level of physical strength to climb onto them.
If you find yourself or a member of your group in distress during your session, please notify a lifeguard immediately

If we have a storm during a session, we will pause and resume once the storm has passed, then your time will continue as normal. In some cases, this does mean we may have to delay sessions later in the day. We constantly evaluate the weather during the day, and our Customer Service team will be in contact if we are forced to reschedule any sessions if the weather does not improve.
You are more than welcome to come off the session at any time if you want a rest, and then join the group again to continue with your session. Please be aware, you cannot come off early and then have your remaining time added on to another session.
We will do our best to get you on your session as soon as possible, however this cannot be guaranteed. We do not offer refunds if you miss part or all of your session, as we cannot be held responsible if you are late. We strongly suggest you aim to get to the site at least an hour before your booking, especially during peak times, to enable us to check your waiver and book you in. We also suggest you fill out your waiver before you arrive to save time during the checking in process.
Preserving the local wildlife is one of our main priorities, so please be aware you will be sharing the water with a variety of fish, birds and maybe even a frog or two!
Absolutely! We offer double Aqua Park sessions for a mammoth 100 minutes on the course which can be booked online. This is split across 2 sessions and, to ensure everyone’s safety, you will need to come off the Aqua Park after the first session and go on again at the beginning of the next session. This is to ensure all participants are off the water, and the equipment can be routinely checked between groups. We highly recommend booking this in advance as there is no guarantee that there will be availability on the day.
We have a limited number of lockers available which can be used with your own padlock, or you can purchase a combination padlock from us for £4.00. Please bear in mind they are mesh lockers and will not protect your belongings from the British summer!
We have lots of off-road parking available, however the car park can become busy at peak times. Therefore, we suggest you arrive at least an hour before your first activity is booked to ensure you are not late due to delayed parking.
If you are booking for less than 30 people, you will find our advance booking prices on our website. If you are booking for more than 30 people, or are looking to exclusively hire one of our activities for a session, we can put together a package for you. Please email us: hello@sheppertonsplash.com.
We have a large communal changing room and our bus has been renovated into unisex changing rooms, as well as outdoor showers. We recommend using the showers after you have been in the water, however they are simply there to rinse off and are not for use with any soap or shampoo.
You can move a booking up to 48 hours before a session, depending on availability, however all rescheduled bookings are subject to a £5 admin fee. If you cancel a booking more than 14 days before, you will be entitled to a 75% refund. We do not offer refunds on any cancellations within 14 days of the booking.
We have lots of picnic benches available around the site which are available for all guests, as well as a large canopy with tables underneath for if the weather is not on your side. We ask that you do not try to reserve tables by leaving belongings unattended, as any items are left at the owner’s risk.
We have a zero alcohol and drugs tolerance on site, and any guest thought or found to be under the influence of either substance will be denied access to the activities. We reserve the right to remove guests from the site if they refuse to abide by this.
Dogs are not permitted on site at Shepperton Splash. You are welcome to walk dogs in our car park, but under no circumstances are dogs to be left in cars. We will call the police to forcefully enter a vehicle if we believe a dog has been left unattended.
