All equipment is supplied for you alongside a safety briefing, so you’ll have all the gear and a solid idea of how to get the most out of your Kayaking Experience.

We’re dedicated to ensuring everyone has the best time here at Shepperton Splash, while staying as safe as possible.

Soft Hats

We ensure everyone aged 16 or under is given a soft hat. But don't worry, anyone can take one for extra protection!

Keeping you afloat, all visitors must wear a buoyancy aid while kayaking, no matter how old (or experienced) you are.

Before you venture out onto the water, one of our amazing instructors will teach you the kayaking basics!

We’d love to see you at the lake! All you need to do is make sure you meet the following requirements before you book.

Excited to start you Kayaking experience? Each session lasts for 50 minutes, but we advise you to arrive 60 minutes before your session time. This gives us time to give you your safety briefing, hand you your buoyancy aids and prepare you for the ultimate aqua experience!

Kayaking is a sure-fire way to warm you up! If the weather isn’t quite as favourable, or you just fancy staying EXTRA warm you can hire one of our wetsuits from only £5. We’d definitely advise a wetsuit for those cooler days!

Wetsuit hire is £5 online or £7.50 on the day. Wetsuits are non-refundable if you decide not to use them on the day.

Don't be late! Please arrive 60 minutes before your activity.

Check In

Square away the boring stuff, let's get to the good part!

Listen Up

Listen carefully to the Safety Briefing 10 minutes before your activity.

It's time for the main event, the wait for the water is over! Let's go!

• Please allow plenty of time for your activity by arriving at least 30 minutes before, we like eager beavers at the lake!

• It’s best if you come ready to go so that you can head straight into the action, but there will be changing rooms available if you need them

Check In

• Once you’re on-site, head straight over to Admissions where you’ll be issued your Activity Boarding Band and given the opportunity to purchase Wet Socks if you’d like them. If you’ve reserved a Wet Suit or would like to, you’ll be directed where to go to collect it from here; alternatively, wear swim gear or tight clothing!

• Your Safety Briefing will be 15 minutes prior to your experience, so please listen out for the designated area for you to meet in.

• To make sure your time with us is safe, all participants must be able to swim 50m with a buoyancy aid.

• Under 16s are required to wear our comfortable Soft Hats for each activity, but they are optional should you wish to use one.

• We ask that you complete your waiver online before arrival which will remain valid on the system for a year to make your next visit even smoother. If you haven’t completed your waiver prior, don’t worry-you can do one with us at check In!

• On the hour, you’ll make your way to the Launch Dock–let’s have some fun!

• Each session lasts for 50 minutes for you to enjoy; you’ll get a warning 10 minutes before the end and then a final alert when the session is over.
